Are your translations officially accepted by the Slovak Ministry of Interior?
Yes. I am a Certified Translator registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic. Every translation I provide is official, carries my round seal (stamp), and is legally valid for all citizenship applications, passports, and permanent residency processes in Slovakia.
What is an Apostille, and do I need one before translation?
An Apostille is a form of authentication issued to documents for use in countries that participate in the Hague Convention (like the US and Slovakia). Slovak authorities require an Apostille on all US-issued documents. Please obtain the Apostille from your Secretary of State before sending the documents to me for translation, as the Apostille itself must also be translated.
How long does the translation process take?
Standard vital records (Birth/Death certificates) are typically completed within 3–5 business days. Complex archival records or lengthy court decrees may take longer. I pride myself on being fast yet meticulous, understanding that your citizenship timeline is important.
Can you send the physical documents directly to me or Slovak authorities in Bratislava?

How do you calculate the final price?
Following Slovak legal standards, the fee is calculated based on the final word count of the translated text. One “Standard Page” equals 1,800 characters (including spaces). Since historical and handwritten documents (like the 1920 Census or old Ship Manifests) vary in density, I provide a professional estimate after reviewing your scans.
